Splash Pets

Connect More, Customize More, Socialise More

SplashPets were Avatars that SplashLearn users could own and cutomize. The pets acted as a token through which players could express their personality, socialise with others, and consume SEL content. The pet would reside right on the home screen of the app, and would accompany the player throughout their app experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ideated and directed the visualisation of the Pet Introduction, Pet Customization, and the Pet social and SEL features

  • Worked closely with artists to create the visual language for a SplashLearn-branded pet

  • Performed user research to check for pet preferences, and collected feedback that informed phasing and release decisions

    Collecting more data on intended outcomes, product metrics, and competitors

  • Pet Leveling and Customization

    Determining the visual design and customisations of the pet, and how these customisations options are acquired

  • Pet Bonding and SEL

    Creating pet interactions that increase the bond that players feel with them. Also integrating Socio Emotional Learning content into these interactions

  • Social Features

    Designing some of the ways that user can socialise with each other through the pet
